Day 29 – Exactly Where I Am

Meditate. ✅
Guided meditation on Mindfulness of Change via MARC’s weekly podcast at the Hammer Museum.

“Let yourself be exactly where you are. Wherever you are is fine from the perspective of mindfulness. With all this change that’s happening, we can find a place of deep stillness and presence even in the midst of change.”

My meditation practice is going to be critical during this time. I have to maintain awareness or I’ll get swept away into all kinds of negativity. When I start thinking about what happened, negative feelings come over me. A lot of it has to do with what I think people are thinking. I must remember that: What you think of me is none of my business. People are going to have their opinions and that’s their right. But their thoughts are their thoughts. They cannot take any form to physically harm me (unless someone literally beat me up, I guess), so I must not act as if I am truly in some kind of danger. Equanimity.

Do not go out to drink. ✅

Do not eat garbage (fast) food. ✅

Pasta with Sausage
Mini Ice Cream Sandwich
